Rental reimbursement insurance information

Rental reimbursement insurance is for vehicles that are being repaired as a result of an accident or by other insured damages. If your car is damaged and the damage to your car is being paid by your collision or comprehensive coverage, this is when you would be qualified for rental reimbursement insurance. If you have any question about whether or not your situation will be covered by your rental reimbursement insurance, check with your insurance agent prior to renting a car!

Typically this coverage pays a small daily rate ($15~$25 a day) and it usually has a maximum cap amount. When you are renting a vehicle when rental reimbursement is in force, usually your auto insurance policy provides coverage on the rental vehicle at the same levels as your policy. Check with your insurance agent to make sure that is the case.

Rental reimbursement insurance does not cover you when you rent a vehicle. If you are going on vacation or a business trip, having rental reimbursement insurance does not apply in any way to you needing to have insurance coverage on your rental car.

If you are having routine maintenance performed on your car, rental reimbursement insurance does not apply.
